After working in a jewelry store in Scotland I came to the US and ultimately was hired at The Goldsmith in 1983. I have had a long successful career here and have been a part of designing and manufacturing. My interest is working with precious gems and pearls. I receive great satisfaction when a challenging project is completed and then placed in the showcase for sale... and even greater satisfaction to see the piece be purchased and appreciated by our customers. I hope you will visit us soon.
I was born and raised in Johnson City, NY. I began making jewelry in High School and went on to graduate from Eastern Kentucky University with a BA in Fine Arts. I started working at The Goldsmith in 1985.
I enjoy helping people design a piece of jewelry and have the completed piece turn out better than they ever imagined. I enjoy bringing my sketches to life and being involved in the dynamic process of creating in three dimensions.
A lifetime background of sales beginning with my father's department store in Windsor, NY led me to The Goldsmith in 1996. I have been happy working at The Goldsmith from my very first day. As manager of the store I know the importance of having a great staff with a passion for our product and a love of people. We enjoy sharing the shopping experience with our customers, many of whom have become friends. One of the many experiences I enjoy about my job is getting to know my customers, their style and helping them find the perfect piece.
I also enjoy selecting the designers we carry and working with each of them to create a collection of work unique for our store. It is exciting to be a part of the creative process that happens every day at The Goldsmith.
I was born in Endicott, NY and have always had a love of art, design and beautiful things. This makes working at The Goldsmith a perfect fit. I started with the company 12 years ago and during the first few years began to take on the responsibility of creating the store's advertising. Through the years with Gina's help and guidance I have been given the amazing opportunity to grow both professionally and creatively. I couldn't ask for a more inspiring work environment.
I joined The Goldsmith in 2002 after completing a Masters Degree from London School of Economics and a PHD in European History from Binghamton University. I decided to join my wife's business and manage the daily bookkeeping and business transactions. I enjoy overseeing the operations, speaking with customers on the phone and supporting our talented staff.
I am proud of our employees expertise and accomplishments and very happy to be a part of The Goldsmith team.
After graduating with a Bachelor Degree in Marketing and managing several clothing stores, my life's path lead me to The Goldsmith in 2005. My passion is and always will be merchandising. I grew up in rural Pennsylvania and began my love of creating jewelry at a young age which eventually lead me to pursue a career in metalsmithing. I graduated from Rochester School of Technology with a BFA in metal and jewelry design and then moved to Binghamton for a benchworking position at The Goldsmith. Under the teaching of Gina and Fred I have learned so much and continue to discover new challenges that develop my skills. I love working on custom pieces for our customers from the drawing phase to completion of the finished piece. I also really enjoy restoring heirloom pieces and repairing brokennjewelry pieces giving them a new life.
I began working for Gina and The Goldsmith in 2009 after moving back to Binghamton. I had resided in Toronto for many years where I enjoyed a sucesssful career in acting. My path of study took me in two directions;I studied acting in New York City at The Neighborhood Playhouse and studied fashion merchandising at Bay State College in Boston. Combining my creative skills I found the perfect home at The Goldsmith where my favorite jobs are working with our customers, merchandising the store, attending trade shows and hunting down great works of art to wear. I love learning about the gems and materials the artists incorporate into thier creations and explaining each piece to our customers. Every artist and every piece has a story. Hope to see you soon!
